Definition
True profit
True profit is gross profit after the expenses attached to a sale: fees, postage, packaging, payment processing. It is what actually reached your bank.
Marketplace fees and shipping routinely eat a third of gross profit on small items. Tracking them per order, rather than as a lump at month end, shows which products and channels are worth the trouble.
In Inventory Now
Attach expenses to any order and reports show True Profit alongside gross. Expenses post to QuickBooks Online too.
